OCHRE

1 of 7

OCHRE designs lighting and furniture. Each piece is born of the drive that has shaped the studio for three decades: an appetite for innovation and for elegant, pared-back forms that quietly subvert genre and material.

Founded by British designers Joanna Bibby and Harriet Maxwell Macdonald, who were later joined by Solenne de la Fouchardière, the female trio brings rich and complementary skills to the studio. Since its inception, OCHRE has partnered with a network of niche master makers, from glass blowers in Murano to bronze casters, wood sculptors, leather specialists and ceramicists in the UK and US. The human dimension of making is central to OCHRE’s sense of beauty. This collaborative web extends to hand-dyers and weavers in India, whose meticulous craft lies behind the OCHRE Wild rugs.

Showrooms in Pimlico, London, and SoHo, New York, invite visitors to experience a way of living conceived by human minds and made by human hands.
